When I was in my fifties, I took my first yoga class . . . it was love at first class. I quickly became a passionate, dedicated practitioner of yoga and meditation. Around the same time, I decided to act on my long-time goal of completing my master’s degree. I enrolled in an MA program at DePaul University in Chicago where my studies focused on yoga and contemplative practices to support healthy aging. In conjunction with my master’s, I completed my yoga teacher training at Yogaview Chicago. My passion is combining traditional evidence-based learning with the practice of yoga and meditation to empower learners to think more expansively about how to live a life filled with good health, meaning, and purpose at any age.
