Blending evidence-based learning with the power of yoga and meditation.

Carrie Waller

founder, facilitator, and curriculum designer

I used to believe exercise and diet would guarantee good health, but that myth was shattered when I was diagnosed with a chronic condition. During my graduate studies, I pushed myself outside my comfort zone learning about the drivers of healthy aging.  Won’t you journey outside your comfort zone exploring the many facets of optimal aging? It will be physically, intellectually, and socially stimulating . . . and may just transform your life.

Movement, Meditation

& Conversations on Aging

The Workshop

We are living in an unprecedented time in human history.  In the blink of an evolutionary eye, our life span is much longer than recent generations and experts agree it is an unparalleled achievement. But longevity can also come at a cost with more people facing chronic degenerative diseases.  During this five-session workshop, participants will review curated readings and videos that offer the latest evidence-based research on the topic of healthy aging.

Each session will include an experiential practice of yoga and reflective meditation, as well as self-reflection exercises and group conversation around the session’s theme.  Join with your fellow workshop friends in this unique learning experience and come ready to explore how you can optimize your chances of staying healthy in your older adult years to honor the precious gift of increased longevity.

“We have to nourish our insight into impermanence every day. If we do, we will live more deeply, suffer less, and enjoy life much more.”

I really enjoyed the workshop and the selected readings and videos. Every class has a nice mix of yoga, interaction, and meditation. I really appreciate how much care went into planning the course.
